Instead of frustration, the basic mechanisms of motion in this game are transparent and utterly in the background.

The makers of turkeys like Midtown Madness 3 or Project Gotham Racing would do well to sit and observe the smooth, free feel that Tony Hawk 3 gives the player. Gameplay: In the defense of this game, the actual motion and steering feel quite natural. Perhaps Tony Hawk insult machine is on its way?
I have to wonder what is coming next from the Tony Hawk camp. When your player suffers intermittent twitchings as a side effect of too many prescription drugs for bipolar disorder, this is a very bad road to go down. Instead of showing the player a good time as games are supposed to do, the game instead tries to make you feel as bad as it possibly can about being "unco". On the second level, you find yourself listening to constant taunts from people on the sidelines, and that is where the game undoes itself. Sure, it's all well and good to try spinning through the air at a million miles an hour, but the impression soon sets in that the impossibility of landing without falling rises in direct proportion to how high a points total you have accumulated. Exploring the levels and getting a feel for the layout is a fun endeavour, but it starts to come undone once you try to make some kind of progress in the game. It started out being a little fun, I will give it that. Tony Hawk 3 doesn't break the trend, although it does vary on the pattern a little. Overall: People who read my comments might see a bit of a trend in them, namely that there are few games I've played that I haven't taken a severe disliking to. The witty comments made by extras are also quite funny, and the sound effects are typical (no complaining neccesary). Sound: The music in this game is the best ever in a Tony Hawks game ever (did i mention ever?). While there are not many drastic changes, the game still has its usual skater/troublemaker theme and does it well.
Graphics: The graphics in THPS3 are a nicer cleaner version then 2. Gameplay: The gameplay in THPS almost identical to THPS2, although everything is faster and more realistic, but still unrealistic enough that you can grind the corner of the building 30 feet off the ground (but whos complaining about that?). This version comes with sweet maps (including Canada YES!!), awesome moves, and great music.
